Autism Awareness Night with the Tribe

April is Autism Awareness Month. Saturday night was Autism Awareness night at Victory Field.
The Indianapolis Indians may have lost the game against the Louisville Bats but the won the hearts of their fans and the Autism Community.

By partnering with Damar Services to both raise awareness of Autism and highlight groups working to create autism-friendly environments on Autism Awareness Night at Victory Field on Saturday, April 19.

Tribe Autism

The Tribe wore special jerseys with the autism awareness puzzle piece logos embroidered on each sleeve. Fans had the opportunity to bid on these one-of-a-kind jerseys worn by their favorite Indians players and coaches, with proceeds benefiting autism parent training and Parent Night Out programs.”

The Balance was proud to be covering this game. We would love to join forces and do our part in Autism Awareness Month. Unaware about what it means to be autistic, what sorts of challenges and difficulties it poses. What sort of joys and happiness it can bring. How vast the autism spectrum is, and how each autistic individual, each autism family’s journey is unique to them.

I was touched by the Young Kids with Autism who threw the first pitch. Thanks to The Indianapolis Indians that young man will have a memory that will last a life time.

Be sure to catch the Hot Corner This Thursday Evening at 7:00 EST, and we will break down The Tribe and all the Action in The International League in the MLB and MiLB
